Our story
People sometimes ask us why we chose Piedmont. The answer is actually quite simple: our love for Italy.
Ever since our children were young, we spent our holidays in Italy. Of course, we occasionally visited other countries, but time and time again, we found ourselves returning to Italy.
Our first family holidays were mainly spent around Lake Garda. We stayed at welcoming campsites where the children could spend their days swimming, playing, and making new friends. From there, we explored the surrounding area, visited charming villages, and took trips to beautiful cities such as Verona and Venice.
As the children grew older, so did our curiosity about the real Italy. We started travelling around the country, staying in different regions and discovering more of its culture, history, landscapes, and, of course, its wonderful cuisine.
When the children eventually started their own lives, we had the opportunity to explore Italy even further. For years, we travelled through the country several times a year, moving to a new destination every few days. From the rolling hills of Tuscany to the coastlines, from hidden villages to famous cities, we were fortunate enough to discover a large part of Italy.
Yet there was one region we hardly knew: Piedmont.
That changed when we visited friends who owned a B&B in the area. From the very first moment, we felt that this region was something special. The peace and quiet, the open landscapes, the friendly people, and the stunning scenery immediately captured our hearts.
The more often we returned, the stronger our love for Piedmont became.
What appeals to us most is the incredible diversity of the region. There is the vibrant city of Turin, the rolling hills covered with endless vineyards, the authentic villages where daily life still moves at its own pace, and the impressive mountains on the horizon. Here, you can still experience the pure essence of Italy, away from the crowds of mass tourism.
And then, of course, there is the food. Piedmont is known as one of Italy’s culinary treasures. Everywhere you go, you can taste the passion for local products, traditional recipes, and exceptional wines. It is a region where enjoying life comes naturally.
When we discovered our holiday home, we fell in love with it instantly. Its hillside location, the tranquillity, and the breathtaking views gave us the feeling that we had found something truly special. From the house, you are surrounded by the rolling vineyards that make this region so unique.
The villa is also perfectly located for exploring Piedmont. The charming spa town of Acqui Terme, the lively squares of Asti, and the culinary capital Alba are all within easy reach. Yet it is often the many small, authentic villages in the surrounding area that make the region so memorable. Here, you can still experience the real Italy, where life unfolds at a relaxed and unhurried pace.
The combination of nature, culture, gastronomy, and authenticity makes this place perfect for us. It is a place where we love to spend time ourselves and one that we are delighted to share with our guests. A place to unwind, enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Welcome to Piedmont. Welcome to the place where our love for Italy found its home.
